Carts today are an awful experience.
Every touch point should be a Zen filled, joyful experience. Carts should be supremely easy to steer. It should surprise you how great it rolls on sand, sidewalk and in between. It should be long lasting. The fold should be effortless, graceful, and quick. You should be able to point at any feature and think, "Was that delightful? Did it bring me a calm sense of Zen? It should wear in, not out. It should be sturdy. The designer should see through glasses that only see minimal, inexpensive solutions to our problems. (design team identified opportunity)

How do make a wheel that has that smooth rubber roll on a sidewalk, but with a wide wheel for the sand? Select each part and make them into a soft close. Is it easy for your toddler to pull? Is it easy for your toddler to stop if it starts rolling down the hill? Is it light enough for a 90lb woman to lift our of a lifter SUV? Does the fabric make you happy when you see it rolling by? Is the handle perfect for your hand? Is the handle long enough for tall people? Is the fold effortless? Does the sand not stick to it? Slide off when you fold it? Does it have a perfect place for the ambarella? Kids to sit?
